Over 700 people attended the recent Jobs Fair hosted by MP Jacob Collier at the Pirelli Stadium. The event provided a central location for job seekers to meet with potential employers from a variety of sectors.
The Jobs Fair saw the participation of over 60 businesses, representing a range of industries within the Burton and Uttoxeter area. These businesses offered information about current vacancies and career opportunities to attendees.
Feedback from the event suggested it was a useful resource for both individuals exploring employment options and organisations looking to recruit new staff. The opportunity for direct interaction was noted as a key benefit.
MP Jacob Collier acknowledged the support of the Department for Work & Pensions (DWP) and the Burton Jobcentre in the planning and execution of the Jobs Fair. Their involvement was important in facilitating the event.
The Jobs Fair was sponsored by JCB, Crestchic, Trent & Dove, Connect Fibre, and Cosy. Their contributions were essential to the event taking place.
A free shuttle service, organised by the Burton Albion FC events team and the Burton Albion Community Trust, assisted residents in traveling from Uttoxeter to the Pirelli Stadium for the Jobs Fair. This service aimed to improve accessibility for attendees from the wider area.
“It’s encouraging to see a significant number of businesses participating today, offering tangible opportunities to individuals within our community. Their investment in local talent and provision of meaningful careers is a substantial contribution, and their support is appreciated.”

The Burton Echo were grateful to be invited down to the Jobs Fair and had the chance to have a proper chat with both guests and attendees. It was a valuable experience, and we're definitely keen to see more events like this popping up in the future – anything that helps connect local folk with good opportunities gets a thumbs up from us!
