The Burton Echo recently headed over to Midland Karting to attend NetworkLocal’s inaugural corporate open day. The event provided a fantastic platform for businesses to showcase their offerings and connect with other enterprises.
Kellie Johnson, the founder of Network Local, explained their mission: “Network Local is a community engagement platform, and it's all about connecting small business owners across the Midlands with either big, corporate clients or local residents.”
She further elaborated, “NetworkLocal events provide a real opportunity to spread the word about your business and what you have to offer. Word of mouth is vital for small businesses and NetworkLocal provides the means to showcase your products and services at events like this. This in turn helps you gain new followers and supporters along the way.”
The open day saw a diverse range of local businesses and organisations in attendance, including:
The Burton Echo also had the chance to speak with Richard Brooks of the Burton and District Chamber of Commerce and Cannock Chase Chamber of Commerce, as well as Ruth Redgate of Lichfield Chambers of Trade & Commerce.
The day proved to be a resounding success, with participants enthusiastically praising Network Local and the valuable work Kellie’s organisation has undertaken. You can listen to interviews with the businesses listed above, as the Burton Echo was on the ground to chat with these local enterprises
